Hi egoCraft fans!

Today I´m sharing this canvas I created with some of the new Steampunk style chipboards from the online store. Hope you like it!

I added layers of chipboards to create dept and an cool effect. They where colored with mists, waxes and different acrylic paints. You can find a great selection here.

Witajcie!

Dzisiaj przychodzę do Was z projektem wykonanym na owalnej tablicy malarskiej. Mimo, że lubię tworzyć kartki i kwiatowe, kobiece prace, to jednak najbliższe mojemu sercu są starocie. Czasem też zdarza mi się robić porządki w komodzie z "przydasiami", a wtedy pozostałości po tekturkach, kapsle, czy pędzle wątpliwej świeżości zamiast w śmietniku, znajdują swoje miejsce w pracach tego typu. Wykorzystałam tutaj sporo resztek i jeszcze więcej mediów.

Hi there!

I have an oval, industrial style canvas to share today. Even though I enjoy making flowery, feminine works, the rusty, timeworn projects are the closest to my heart. Every time I do some cleaning in my craft room I come back with the project of this sort. I have used some chipboard leftovers, old paint brushes and a lot of media here.

Dziewczynka z misiem

Witajcie!

W ramach mojej dzisiejszej inspiracji przygotowałam lekki, dziewczęcy i wiosenny blejtram. Praca powstała na bazie okrągłej zawieszki na ścianę, którą od jakiegoś czasu można nabyć w sklepie. Zachęcam Was więc do wirtualnej wędrówki po sklepowych półkach, bo znajdziecie tam wiele cudowności. W moim projekcie użyłam również muzycznych tekturek, które potraktowałam białym pudrem do embossingu, mgiełek i mnóstwa kwiatków.

Creativity takes courage - mixed media canvas

Dzisiaj mam dla was projekt, w którym chciałam pokazać, jak można wykorzystać pozostałości po tekturkach. Jak już wspominałam ostatnio - nie wyrzucajcie ich! W projektach mixedmedia doskonale sprawdzają się takie kształty. Nie tylko jako ukryte warstwy, które dają nam efekt 3D, ale również jako widoczne elementy naszej kompozycji.

Hello!
Today I have a project for you in which I wanted to show you how to use chipboards leftovers. As I mentioned last time - don't throw them away! In mixedmedia projects such shapes are perfect. Not only as hidden layers that give us a 3D effect, but also as visible elements of our composition.

Cała kompozycja ułożona jest na okrągłej tablicy malarskiej, na którą naklejałam kolejne warstwy tekturkowych "resztek" (głównie po świątecznych bombkach). Gdy osiągnęłam już zamierzony efekt, pokryłam wszystko czarnym gesso. Do tego dodałam kilka metalowych elementów, papierowych kwiatów i mnóstwo mgiełek i farb :)

The whole composition is arranged on a round painting board, on which I glue the next layers of chipboard leftovers (mainly after Christmas baubles). When I achieved the intended effect, I covered everything with the black gesso. I added a few metal elements, paper flowers and lots of mists and paints :)

Świetną metodą ozdabiania tekturek jest też embossing na gorąco. Dzięki niemu nabierają one wyjątkowego charakteru. Tak właśnie ozdobiłam ramkę z kolekcji "Sea Stories" oraz moje ulubione tło z kolekcji "Na królewskim dworze".  Bardzo ciekawie wygląda również rozpuszczenie pudru do embossingu w kilku losowo wybranych miejscach, tutaj wykorzystałam do tego biały puder, aby troszkę rozjaśnić kompozycję.

A great method of decorating the chipboards is also hot embossing. Thanks to it, they acquire a unique character. That's how I decorated the frame from the "Sea Stories" collection and my favorite background from the "At the Royal Court" collection. It is also very interesting to dissolve the embossing powder in a few randomly selected places, here I used white powder to lighten the composition a bit.
